With the emergence of cell-based therapies to foster replacement, repair, and/or regeneration, there is the very real potential to address unmet patient needs. Although much of this research is in an early stage, there are a few clinical trials in progress. This session will highlight ongoing cell-based therapeutic clinical trials in Atlanta, focusing on three specific areas: cardiac repair, spinal cord repair, and the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
