BioWorld Today Quotes Harry Glorikian in 'Stratified Medicine' Shatters Bio-Pharma Partnering Model

John Brosky quotes Harry Glorikian who led the presentation for The future of Diagnostics Partnering Strategy panel: "The $41 billion market for in vitro diagnostics (IVD), which drive drug response among individual patients, is the fastest-growing segment with a 15 percent annual increase in sales, according to Harry Glorikian [...] 'The industry has not been moving at lightening speed in this area, but that is changing,' he [Glorikian] said. 'Where the stakeholders used to be only pharmaceutical companies, now the regulators are getting involved and changing the rules,' Glorikian said, adding that payers are getting involved and ready to pay a premium for effective tests, while patients and physicians are passionate about opportunities in this space. [...] 'Three years ago, Medco was a warehouse, and now they are dictating prescriptions to major pharmaceuticals,' Glorikian said, adding, 'and their business model and motivations are very different from yours in making deals.' "
