Harry Glorikian, Managing Partner

Harry Glorikian is recognized worldwide as a leader in helping companies accelerate the development of their businesses with a combination of robust analysis and deep commercial/technical experience. Harry’s expertise spans more than two decades within the life sciences/healthcare industry. His unique understanding of both buyer and internal company perspectives has shaped the methodology and framework analysis tools Scientia uses to create sophisticated, enduring business strategies that capture and sustain optimal value.

Harry is regularly quoted in industry magazines and periodicals and writes articles about life sciences/healthcare and business strategies regularly. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and often is asked to provide insight to the media and industry leaders on life sciences/healthcare and current business trends.

In Harry’s past experience he has held several senior management positions with many leading life science firms.  Harry’s experience spans many different areas: Diagnostics, Molecular Biology, Proteomics and Cellular Biology as well as in the area of Biodefense.

Currently Harry serves on the advisory board of Draper Laboratories. He is an avid inventor with 2 issued US patents and more pending both in the US and internationally.

Harry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University.

Amit Agarwal, Partner
Amit Agarwal has over fifteen years of strategic management consulting experience in the life sciences and additional experience as a VP in a life science boutique investment bank. He has focused on strategic planning, corporate development and operational improvement issues for clients across multiple life science sectors including biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, distribution, drug discovery, diagnostics, hospitals and nutraceuticals. Prior to Scientia Advisors, Amit was a VP at Leerink Swann & Company, a boutique investment bank focused on life sciences. Before that he was a Principal at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm with over $1 billion in revenues and extensive experience helping clients with operational and strategy issues. He was also a partner at the Mitchell Madison Group (MMG), a management consulting firm founded by McKinsey and Company partners. While at MMG, Amit led the West Coast life science practice and was a member of the management team for one of the fastest growing management consulting firms at the time. For drug discovery and diagnostic clients his engagements have involved developing and implementing comprehensive go-to-market plans in the areas of genomics, proteomics, cellular therapy, chemical analysis and consumables & services groups. For biotech pharmaceutical and medical device clients, he has led teams evaluating in-licensing, out-licensing, sale, merger, spin-off, acquisition, post-merger integration and internal growth opportunities in cardiology, CNS, dermatology, oncology, orthopedics and respiratory therapeutic areas. Multiple successful transactions have resulted from his work. Before consulting, Amit was a U.S. diplomat in China and the Middle East and a medical researcher in the department of neurobiology at Caltech. Amit has an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management and an A.B from Occidental College in pre-med and history.

Arshad Ahmed, Partner
Arshad Ahmed has over fifteen years of strategic management consulting experience in life sciences, environmental and health care markets. He has focused on strategic planning, corporate development, strategic transactions advisory and operational improvement issues for clients across various life and environmental sectors including diagnostics, drug discovery, applied industrial markets as well as therapeutics and bio-production. For drug discovery and diagnostic clients his engagements have involved developing and implementing comprehensive go-to-market plans in the areas of genomics, proteomics, cell biology, in vivo pre-clinical testing, molecular diagnostics, pharmacogenomics as well as food and water testing in the applied area. Within the therapeutics area, Mr. Ahmed's area of focus includes emerging sectors areas such as RNAi, Cell Therapy, Gene Therapy as well as Theranostics. From a disease perspective, Mr. Ahmed's has focused his efforts on identifying market needs in Infectious Disease, Oncology and Cardiovascular markets and analyzed technological disruption that these therapeutics areas will face over the next several years. Previously Mr. Ahmed was a senior executive at Mobileum, an emerging high technology company. Prior to this, Mr. Ahmed worked in strategy consulting and corporate finance including 5 years with The Boston Consulting Group with focus on shareholder value-management across a number of industries including pharmaceuticals/healthcare, financial services and technology. Mr. Ahmed has also worked with several other boutique strategy consulting firms such as Integral Inc. (founded by Harvard Business School Dean, Kim Clark) as well as Potomac Partners (McKinsey spin-off). Mr. Ahmed's clients include an extensive array of global companies based in US, Europe, Asia as well as Africa.

Daniel Poscover, Partner
Daniel Poscover has a breadth of experiences from strategic consulting to serial entrepreneur to investment analyst. He has nearly 10 years of life science strategy experience. He has been the member of the management team of several successful emerging companies. He has advised and consulted dozens of both emerging and established life science firms. He has expertise in drug discovery tool technologies, diagnostics, therapeutics and medical devices. He also has provide strategy for companies focused on drug delivery, specialty therapeutics, RNAi, gene therapy, cell therapy, genomics, proteomics and synthetic biology. Among the areas his clients target are oncology, CNS, cardiovascular, pregnancy health (preeclampsia), infectious diseases, orthopedic, metabolic, ophthalmic, dentistry and more.

The majority of his clients are emerging companies both private and public with innovative technologies or solutions. He has led and evaluated due diligence, technology assessments, in-licensing, out-licensing, growth strategies, business development strategy, financing strategy, market development strategy, positioning and public relations.

Prior to Scientia, Daniel Poscover was the Managing Partner of BioStrategy Advisors, a life science strategy consulting firm. His entrepreneur experiences include CombinatoRx (CRXX), Glenveigh Pharmaceuticals, New England OncoTherapeutics and others. He was the VP of Finance at CombinatoRx (CRXX) where he helped grow the firm from startup to 75 employees within Oncology and Inflammation markets. He also served as an investment analyst for FSA, a financial advisory firm which managed a $4.5Bn fund and he focused his analysis on hedge funds and venture capital firms.

He is the co-founded of the Boston Israel Business Forum and currently sits on the Board of Directors. During BIO 2007, he organized and moderated an Israel/United States Venture Roundtable Discussion to encourage cross national venture syndications to fund emerging life science companies out of Israel. He is also Program Planning Committee for the Boston Security Analyst Society. He and his wife act as a host family for the Humphrey Fellowship Foundation. Daniel Poscover has an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bradley University.
