The Start-Up Clinic consists of an audience of 40-50 people who listen (and react) to two presentations by early stage companies and comments from 3-4 panelists.
Many of the presenters have a business plan but have not yet raised money. Some of the companies may have already started making sales. Every company wants to benefit from an outside, experienced view of the business plan and a dry run at an investor presentation.
Panelists review the presenters' business plans which are provided in advance to the panel. Panelists are experienced business people but are not expected to be experts on any of the businesses or technologies described by the entrepreneur or in the plans.

Daniel Poscover has a breadth of experiences from strategic consulting to serial entrepreneur to investment analyst. He has nearly 10 years of life science strategy experience. Dan has been the member of the management team of several successful emerging companies. Dan has advised and consulted dozens of both emerging and established life science firms. He has expertise in drug discovery tool technologies, diagnostics, therapeutics and medical devices. He also has provide strategy for companies focused on drug delivery, specialty therapeutics, RNAi, gene therapy, cell therapy, genomics, proteomics and synthetic biology. Among the areas his clients target are oncology, CNS, cardiovascular, pregnancy health (preeclampsia), infectious diseases, orthopedic, metabolic, ophthalmic, dentistry and more.
