In particular, it was crucial for the client to understand the size of the market, specific segments that are attractive and their overall go-to-market strategy required to establish a leadership position.
Scientia's Role: We performed an indepth customer and competitive review as well as a competency analysis and presented specific markets that will be attractive for the client. Our approach was highly quantitative, coupled with qualitative insights from our interviews. We created several options for market entry and recommended the most optimal entry strategy to maximize short and long term growth potential. In additon, we created a 10 year growth plan and investment options.
Result: The board approved the strategic plan as well as the proposed M&A option to evaluate potential partners.

Situation: The client had a maturing consumables business but wanted to know how emerging areas in Cell Biology (including Cell therapy, Stem Cells) are likely to change the market and present new growth opportunities.
Scientia's Role: We performed an indepth customer and competitive analysis and identified markets that will be attractive for the client. We presented a fact based presentation to highlight how their existing markets are being eroded and how particular new trends are presenting new opportunities. We highlighted product concepts as well as specific disease areas to pursue.
Result: The board approved the strategic plan and a strategic alliance was executed in 3 months.

Situation: The board of this emerging firm wanted to know the pros and cons of the various growth options available to the firm. In particular, as M&A activity in their core markets was rising with healthy valuations paid to competitive firms, the board wanted to know if they need to put the firm on a road of a strategic merger or acquisition or if they should invest in building the firm to the next stage.
Scientia's Role: Scientia mapped out several growth scenarios and created several valuation ranges for the firm. Scientia also provided the board with key risks factors associated with each scenario and presented recommendations on whether to exit or invest in growing the firm.
